Chicago - A man was shot early Friday as he walked along North Avenue Beach in Lincoln Park.
The 21-year-old man was walking near the lakefront in the 1600 block of North Lake Shore Drive about 5 a.m. when a black SUV with four males pulled up and one of them shot at him, police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez said.
The man was hit in the ankle, and a good Samaritan drove him to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he is listed in “stable” condition, Perez said.
No one is in custody and Area Central detectives are investigating.
