Animal's are at it again 3 shot in Hanson Park neighborhood on NW Side





Three people were shot this evening in the Hanson Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side, according to Chicago Fire Department and police officials.

Paramedics were called to the 2300 block of North Lorel Avenue at about 9 p.m. this evening for a report of three people shot, said Chicago Fire Department Spokesman Kevin MacGregor.

Two of the three people were taken in serious-to-critical condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center and the third person was taken in fair-to-serious condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, said MacGregor.

Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Sgt. Antoinette Ursitti said preliminary information indicated that a man sustained a gunshot wound to his back and a woman sustained a gunshot wound to one of her legs. They were taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center for treatment.

The third person shot was a man who was also shot in the leg. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, Ursitti said.

The circumstances leading to the shooting were not available. Area North detectives are investigating.
