The first happened about 6:30 p.m. in the 7100 block of S. East End Avenue when someone shot at 19-year-old man in the leg in the South Shore neighborhood, according to police News Affairs Officer Daniel O’Brien.
The victim was taken to Jackson
Park Hospital where his condition was “stable,’’ said O’Brien.
About an hour later in the Roseland
neighborhood, a 24-year-old man suffered a graze wound to the hand while he was
standing with three other men in the 12100 block of South Emerald Avenue,
according to Calumet District police.
The shooter emerged from a gangway and opened fire, striking the man, police said.
The victim took himself to Roseland Community Hospital, police said.
No arrests have been made in either shooting.
