Couple dies in Barrington Hills murder-suicide

A man shot and killed his wife before killing himself in Barrington Hills Wednesday night, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

Julianne Damato, 47, and Joseph Damato, 56, were both pronounced dead Wednesday night at their home on the 0-100 block of Lakeview Lane, a spokeswoman for the Cook County medical examiner's office said.

A message left with Barrington Hills police wasn't immediately returned Thursday morning.
