fact about constitution

The Philadelphia Convention adopted the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787 [01]. Anyone born after that date must be a natural born citizen in order to be eligible to serve as President of the United States [02].
President Obama's father, Barack Obama Senior (1936-1982), was a British East African (Kenyan) native who never became a U.S. citizen. President Obama -- regardless of where he was born -- acquired British nationality, at birth, by descent from his father. The President publicly admits that his citizenship status, at birth, was "governed" by the British Nationality Act of 1948 (see Barack Obama's "fight the smears" website).
FactCheck.org has confirmed President Obama's foreign citizenship at birth:
...at the time of his birth, Barack Obama Jr. was both a U.S. citizen (by virtue of being born in Hawaii) and a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies (or the UKC) by virtue of being born to a father who was a citizen of the UKC. (FactCheck.org: Obama's Kenyan Citizenship)
An increasing number of Americans are concerned that, since President Obama was born with foreign nationality (in addition to U.S. citizenship), he might not be a "natural born citizen" and therefore might not be eligible, under the Constitution, to serve as president [04].

Sheriff states the same thing that we all want to know

This Sheriff asked what we all want to know since Mrs. Obama has called Kenya the presidents home and the President himself called many other states his home so which is it. Is he from Iowa, is he from Hawaii, or is he from Kenya. The only thing we can all agree on is that he resided in Chicago.

The United States Constitution clearly states that you must be 35 years of age and an American Born citizen. If he is not then the president Obama shall be put in history books as the president who lied and all presidential emities be removed no presidential penssion, no secret service, no nothing. If we allow him to continue to lie and hold his citizenship in a lie then Arnold the " Terminator" Schwarzenegger to be able to run for pres. Since we have elected one non American born why not elect another.  I would have voted for anyone regaurdless of ethnic back ground as long he or she is the right person for the job.

Sheriff I agree it is time we ask for his real birthcertificate and have it's authanticity done by someone who knows the real mccoy from a fake. Just cause the paper and ink my be authentic doesn't mean it is. I say Kenya must produce a birthcertificate. This man has gone to law school on grants claiming he is not an American he has passports that are not American to much shows the man is not an American and based on this he will not get my vote

Arizona’s Sheriff Joe Arpaio told a radio host today he’s “not impressed” with a letter from the state of Hawaii affirming Barack Obama’s birth there.
He wants to see the proof himself.
Arpaio appeared on “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio” on New York’s WABC Radio to talk, in part, about a letter sent from the Hawaii Department of Health to Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett affirming Obama’s birth in the island state.
As WND reported, after more than eight weeks of pressing for answers, Bennett received verification from Hawaii of Obama’s American birth, which Bennett says satisfies Arizona’s requirements for placing Obama on the 2012 presidential ballot.
So if Bennett is satisfied by the letter, Klein asked, does it satisfy Arpaio?
“That doesn’t impress me,” Arpaio responded. “Why doesn’t [Bennett] ask for the birth certificate? The microfilm, look at the originals to see if it exists? … Just saying that there is some information about the president’s background doesn’t impress me.”
Show members of Congress how many Americans demand more than words, they demand constitutional integrity.
The sheriff’s Cold Case Posse has already concluded there is probable cause that the Obama birth document presented by the White House and Obama’s Selective Service registration are forgeries.
But Klein pressed Arpaio, asking the sheriff if he thought the Hawaiian letter was somehow fabricated, too.
“I just said from day one,” Arpaio replied, “I wanted to clear the president. I’m not accusing him of any crime; I just want to see the microfilm. We have two twins on the microfilm around the time the president was born. So let’s see the microfilm, let’s see the original copy of the birth certificate, then we’ll put this to rest.”
“I don’t know why it’s a big secret,” Arpaio continued. “Why is just a letter coming out and saying, ‘Yes, we say that he was born there’? Show us the proof.”
Does anyone really know where Obama is from? Find out the startling truth from New York Times best-selling author Jerome Corsi.
The sheriff wouldn’t speak to what Bennett should do in regards to Arizona’s presidential ballot.
“That’s his job, not mine,” Arpaio said. “Mine is to investigate possible crimes, which I am doing.”

29 people shot in Memorial day heat wave

Four people are dead and at least 28 others were wounded in weekend shootings across the city since Friday afternoon, including a 7-year-old girl shot while playing in front of her South Side home.
Among the dead are:
-- Jeffrey Triplett, 17, who was shot about 2:15 a.m. on Saturday in the 1500 block of Millard Avenue. Triplett was shot in the lower back and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, authorities said. Another 17-year-old boy was wounded in the shooting and was listed in critical condition at Mount Sinai Hospital.
-- Avelino Sanchez, 68, and Lori Inman, 49, who were found dead with shotgun wounds to their chests at their apartment in the 6500 block of South Kenwood Avenue Friday night, authorities said.
Police were questioning a man who also lived in the apartment and allegedly told a friend he was going to kill his roommates, police said. The man was taken into custody following a standoff with police that resulted in a SWAT team and the Police Department's Hostage Barricade Terrorists Unit being called in, police said.
-- Jaleel Beasley, 19, was shot in the head and stomach in the 2400 block of West Roosevelt Road, police said. He was pronounced dead at 2:34 a.m. at Mount Sinai Hospital, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
Since 4 p.m. Friday, 28 other people have been wounded in shootings throughout the city, police said. Seven separate shootings claimed 13 of those victims during one particularly bloody 90-minute stretch early Sunday that began about 12:45 a.m.
Most people shot were taken to area hospitals in good or "stable" condition, though six people remain in critical condition early Sunday -- including a 23-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman shot in the 6800 block of South Claremont Avenue at 1:43 a.m. Sunday during a possibly gang-related argument.
The youngest shooting victim was a 7-year-old girl, who was listed in good condition Saturday night, police said. She was shot about 4:20 p.m. Saturday, when a white four-door car pulled up to a group of boys near the intersection of West 69th Street and South Artesian Avenue and someone inside opened fire.
Police said none of the boys were injured, but a bullet hit the 7-year-old as she played in front of her home on South Artesian Avenue, police said. Paramedics initially took the girl in good condition to Holy Cross Hospital, police said, adding that she may have been transported to the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital.
Little more than an hour later, two men were shot just two blocks away in another drive-by shooting, this time in the 2500 block of West 71st Street. Police said this shooting was gang-related and they were looking into the possibility that it may be connected to the nearby shooting of the 7-year-old girl.

now the count is up to 27 people in the memorial day murder spree

A 27-year-old man has died two days after he was shot in the head on the South Side in the city's Back of the Yards neighborhood.

Marcus Morgan of the 8000 block of South Ada Street was pronounced dead at 3:20 p.m. today at Stroger Hospital, according to a spokesman for the Cook County medical examiner's office.

Morgan was shot in the head Friday night on the 5300 block of South Justine Street. Another man, 26, suffered a wound to his arm and was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in good condition, police said.

Morgan was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital where he later died.

Alsip man arrested

David Carroll

After an Alsip man tried to holdup the Chipotle he used to work for, he fled to a nearby restaurant then refused to pay the bill, authorities said.

The manager of the restaurant in loop called police, who recognized that David Carroll matched the description of the armed robber who had cut a Chipotle worker while demanding money, according to court and police records.

Carroll, 31, on Friday allegedly entered the Chipotle in the 300 block of North Michigan Avenue covering his face with a white shirt and wearing 3-D glasses and gloves, displayed a large knife and revolver and was taken to the safe, Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney Jennifer Hamelly said.

During the exchange he cut one of the employees on the hand then fled, prosecutors said.
He went to a restaurant in the 200 block of North Wabash Avenue and racked up a $50 tab, which he refused to pay prompting a call to police.

Police found the large kitchen knife tucked in Carroll's waistband, a black plastic toy gun and the 3-D glasses and gloves he’d worn during the robbery, according to prosecutors and court records.
He is charged with armed robbery, aggravated battery and attempted armed robbery, court records show.

Carroll, of the 4400 block of West 125th Street, wore a Chipotle uniform shirt Sunday as he appeared before Cook County Judge Israel Desierto.. Bail was set at $500,000.

A Chipotle representative was not immediately available for comment Sunday.

25 Shootings in 12 hours of day two of the Memorial day forcast

More than two dozen people were shot across the city between late Saturday afternoon and early Sunday morning.

One died and several others are in critical condition in shootings that left a total of 25 people injured, according to police. A 6-year-old girl was among the wounded.

Five people were shot on the West Side within 20 minutes of each other in two separate attacks about 2:10 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. Police are investigating the possibility that they're related – they happened about five blocks apart.

A party bus stopped on the 2400 block of West Roosevelt Road in the Lawndale neighborhood to let people into a bar and about 45 minutes later, the driver heard people shooting and hit the floor of his bus.

Only a few women were on the bus when the shots rang out, driver Cash Vait said. He was waiting for his passengers, some of whom were exiting the bar, when someone started shooting. Vait said he heard between three and five shots and dropped to the ground, unable to see who was shooting. Moments later, he heard a second volley of shots to the north.

Three men – 18, 19, and one whose age wasn't available – were hit. Vait said he saw people swarm one man, who dropped in the street.

"I saw three or four guys pumping him, he was wearing a white shirt, and it had blood all over it," Vait said.

Evidence markers littered the area in front of the bar and about seventy five feet to the east, in the street. About a dozen marked and unmarked cars were in the area, parked in a nearby gas station or blocking traffic both ways on Roosevelt Road. Casings were also found inside the bar, police said.

The 19-year-old, identified by the Cook County medical examiner's office as Jaleel Beasley, died at Mount Sinai Hospital at 2:34 a.m. A spokeswoman for that office wasn't able to say where Beasley lived.

The 18-year-old was shot in the leg and is in stable condition at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, and the other person was dropped off at Stroger hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest, police said.

The bus had picked people up from west suburban Bellwood but was stuck behind crime scene tape and everyone inside had to catch cabs back to the suburb, Vait said.

A couple blocks around the corner north in the 700 block of South Western Avenue, police found two people shot inside an SUV that appeared to have collided with something. The front end of the car was damaged and the driver's side airbag had deployed, though bullet holes weren't visible from the front, back or passenger sides, police said.

A 30-year-old man was shot in the leg and a 28-year-old man was shot in the back and shoulder, police said. Both of the men were taken to Stroger hospital. The younger of the two is in critical condition, and the older is in good condition.

Early Saturday night, a 6-year-old girl and two others were shot in two attacks blocks apart in the Marquette Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side. Police said the child was playing in front of her house on the 6900 block of South Artesian Avenue about 4:15 p.m. when two groups of people on the corner of 68th and Artesian – one in a car, one on the corner – started arguing.

Someone inside the car shot at the group on the corner and missed, instead hitting the girl. The intended targets fled south from 68th Street toward the girl and the car fled east on 68th Street, police said.

The child was shot in the arm and is in good condition at Holy Cross Hospital, Chicago Police Department News Affairs Sgt. Antoinette Ursitti said. The child's mother drove her to Holy Cross Hospital, a few blocks west on California Avenue between 68th and 69th streets.

Less than two hours later and a few blocks away, two men were wounded in what police said may have been a retaliatory attack. The shooting happened shortly before 6 p.m. on the 2500 block of West 71st Street, said police News Affairs Officer Dan O'Brien. According to preliminary reports, both victims drove themselves to Holy Cross Hospital.

One of them, 22, was listed in serious condition with gunshot wounds to his arm, leg and buttocks, O'Brien said. The other man, 25, suffered a wound to his hand. As of 6:45 p.m., no one was in custody for the shootings and Area Central detectives were investigating.

In other shootings:

A 29-year-old woman was shot in the arm about 7:30 p.m. on the 700 block of East 38th Street in the Ida B. Wells/Darrow Homes neighborhood, police said. She heard shots and felt pain, police said. No information was available on her condition or at which hospital she was treated.
