Wildebeast shoots up West Englwood

Three people were shot in their chests and critically wounded in the West Englewood neighborhood today.

Someone shot the three about 11:25 a.m. in the 7400 block of South Ashland Avenue, according to police News Affairs Officer Laura Kubiak.

All three were wounded in the chest, said Kubiak.

Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford said two of the wounded were taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in critical condition.

Kubiak said the third victim, also wounded critically, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

Police investigate shooting near 111th Street and Edbrooke Avenue.

Two people were shot this morning on the Far South Side including one who is reportedly in "extremely critical'' condition.

It happened at 10:23 a.m. at 111th Street and Edbrooke Avenue, according to police News Affairs Office Laura Kubiak.

One victim was shot in the chest and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn while the other person remained on the scene being treated after suffering gunshot wounds to both arms, Kubiak said.

Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford said one person taken in "extremely critical'' condition to Christ while the other was in critical condition.
