Three people were shot in their chests and critically wounded in the West
Englewood neighborhood today.
Someone shot the three about 11:25 a.m. in
the 7400 block of South Ashland Avenue, according to police News Affairs Officer
Laura Kubiak.
All three were wounded in the chest, said Kubiak.
Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford said two of the wounded were taken
to John
H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook
County in critical condition.
Kubiak said the third victim, also wounded critically, was taken to Advocate
Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
