$2 million bail for man accused of killing must have went before one of the Judges I have gone before

A South Side man has been ordered held on $2 million bail, charged with stabbing to death his wife as her two young children watched.

Keenan Jamison, 22, told police he grabbed a chopping knife and repeatedly stabbed Racshell Harris, 23, during an argument in the 4600 block of South Lake Park Avenue Tuesday afternoon, according to prosecutors.

The couple's 5-year-old daughter said she saw Jamison choke Harris, and a 7-year-old boy told officers that Jamison cut his mother, prosecutors disclosed as Jamison appeared in court Thursday.

Police were called to the home after Jamison dialed 911 and said he had been fighting with Harris and that she was lying on the floor near the back door, not moving, prosecutors said. Officers were met at the door by Jamison, who had blood on his hands and face, they said.

The two children told the officers that their mother was by the back porch, prosecutors said. Police said they found her unresponsive, lying in a pool of blood.

Jamison later gave a videotaped confession to police, prosecutors said.
