Good eating from the burbs to the city

Uncle Sam's
8668 S Cicero Ave, Burbank, IL 60459
On the corner of 87th and Cicero

Well I ordered a Gyros plater and a large mountain dew. The meal was good it came with 2 pita's and enough meat to fill both including  the sauce. It came with a small fry and aside order sold separately of cheese sauce for the fries.

The staff are nice and the place is moderately busy. The bathroom is small like your in the old part of the walk in freezer or freezer that used to be accessed from the out side. So it is very tight squeeze. There is no changing station for parents with small ones. But in all I would recommend this place. It also offers free WiFi and the code is posted right of the menu.

I give it 4 Sears Towers

Good eating from the burbs to the city

Yolk East Lakeview, Chicago
501 W Diversey Pkwy, Chicago, IL 60614

I ordered a Build a burger which comes on a Pretzel bun. Your choice of white Turkey, char broil beef patty or a garden burger.

This place serves lunch but many caters to breakfast. They made room to fit a stroller and 6 adults which was cool I talked to the parents who are on Metra and CTA for the air and water show. I thought that was cool how they did that. Any way it is a very tight squeeze at the door way and bathrooms are a squeeze but have Kodiak stations for the little ones. This place seems busy all day long.

The staff is outstanding and very knowledgeable of the menu without looking at it. As to the food I ordered the build a burger with chicken comes with lettuce,  tomatoe, onion and pickle, your sides are fries, onion chips coleslaw and fresh fruit. I also sampled their onion rings they are sweet with a nice crunch think the batter is a beer batter, I also had a sample of the chicken wrap which is fantastic. The hamburger took a while to cook but we'll worth the wait. The fries are good could have used some seasalt but good. I'd come back.
I give this place 4.5 Sears Towers

Chicago Blackhawks 3 time Stanley Cup Champ Patrick Kane under investigation

Star Chicago Blackhawks player and Stanley Cup hero Patrick Kane is the target of a statutory rape investigation in his hometown, reports The Buffalo News, citing two law enforcement sources.

The 26-year-old Kane is under investigation by Hamburg Police in South Buffalo. He owns a home in Hamburg, where police were seen Sunday night. The alleged sexual assault took place last weekend, the sources told The Buffalo News.

This coming weekend, Kane was scheduled to bring the Stanley Cup to his hometown.

A WKBW Eyewitness News in Buffalo report, citing sources, suggests the incident with an underage girl began at a bar in Evans over the weekend. Plainclothes detectives in three unmarked cars went to Kane’s home Sunday night, neighbors told the Chicago Tribune, and went into the house with flashlights. One wore gloves and was taking photographs.

Kane is expected to present himself to police for questioning, according to News reporter Tim Graham, again citing law enforcement sources.

The chief of the Erie County District Attorney’s Special Victims Bureau, Roseanne Johnson, has been assigned to the case.

Kane has been with the Blackhawks for all three of the team’s NHL championships. In Game 6 this year, Kane scored the decisive second goal in the third period. He performed well throughout the postseason.

Kane, who has had a girlfriend for the last three years, has gotten into trouble in the past for immature and criminal behavior. In 2009, he was arrested in Buffalo when he and a relative got into an fight with a cab driver. Accused of punching the cabbie, Kane eventually pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct. Embarrassing photos of him partying have been posted on the Internet for years, much to the displeasure of Blackhawks management.

He admitted he needed ”to grow up a little bit.”

This spring, Kane was featured in one of the Chicago Blackhawks’ popular #WhatsYourGoal videos. Kane delivered pizzas to a Downers Grove fire station on behalf of an Oak Forest woman, Courtney O’Leary, who nominated her firefighter husband Kevin O’Leary and his fellow firefighters for the honor.

“It’s an honor for me to come down here,” Kane said as he dished out slices.

Last year, the four-time all-star signed an eight-year contract extension with the Blackhawks.

“I was obviously grateful for the trust and the faith and support given to me by the organization and the front office, and even my teammates, as well,” Kane said at the time. “I think everyone kind of goes through their different maturation process and maybe mine was a little delayed compared to other guys.”

Good eating from the burbs to the city

Los Olivos
3400 W 31st St, Chicago, IL 60623

I had ordered 4 chicken tacos with everything.
Which means lettuce,  tomatoes, advocato, and cheese. These filled me up and we're delicious. Originally I had ordered 2 Tomales and Nachos but they no longer carry Tomales so the nachos and 4 tacos. However they never charged me for the nachos and they never made them, which I am thankful for because the Tacos alone filled me up. I give this establishment 4 sears towers out stand food.
