Yeah, they've concluded they dont need to resurface the INDOUND lanes...because people are only using the OUTBOUND lanes. State Farm is quietly moving to AZ, with all its call centers to begin with. Illinois Concealed carry may never happen

SPRINGFIELD, IL (IRN) - Illinois lawmakers putting together a law allowing people to carry a concealed weapon are acting under the assumption that a federal appeals court has given the state until June to act. In what could only be considered a joker in the deck that nobody counted on, the prosecutor’s office in Cook County is suggesting that federal ruling’s meaningless.
“Until the Supreme Court of the United States has spoken, state courts are not precluded from exercising their own judgments on federal constitutional measures,” said Paul Castiglione, representing the Cook County state’s attorney’s office. “Because lower federal courts exercise no appellate jurisdiction over state courts, decisions of lower federal courts are not conclusive on state courts.”
That gives lawmakers something to think about, says State Rep. Elaine Nekritz (D-Northbrook), who is chairing this week’s hearings about the state’s gun laws. “One of the things that will be incumbent upon the committee will be to look into” what Castiglione said. “From what some of the lawyers tell me, I think that that’s an issue we do need to double-check.”
State Rep. Brandon Phelps (D-Harrisburg), who has already introduced a bill intended to address the federal ruling, says he believes it will be “constitutional carry” this summer if the legislature does not act. “You want to talk about the Wild West?” asked State Rep. Dennis Reboletti (R-Addison), agreeing.
The House Judiciary Committee holds another hearing Friday in Chicago.

Presidential canidets announce they might run

The New Jersey governor has enjoyed the spotlight for the better part of 2012 as a top Romney surrogate, but also as an effective Republican governor with 53% approval rating in one of the country's most reliably blue states. As I mention in another article, Christie is one of the most honest politicians out there, and has no misgivings about partnering with Democrats, even those who pose a direct and credible political challenge to him. His loud and sometimes offensive personality has been a breath of fresh air to the stale and scripted speeches we've seen these last few years.
On the platform front, Christie has proven to be tough on the public unions that have been sucking up all of our taxpayer money, and has not been afraid to be unpopular, cancelling projects such as the NJ-NY tunnel, when the money wasn't available. However, he has also shown a moderate side, putting the first Asian American, as well as the first openly gay justices on the bench of New Jersey's supreme court. As a top contender for the presidential nomination in 2016, Christie's brand of pragmatic, and brutally honest, moderate politics will be the foundation for the future of the GOP.

The 53-year-old Emanuel, who is busy raising money for his 2015 reelection campaign in the Windy City, has had discussions both over the phone and face to face in the past month with Democratic Party donors and fundraisers about a possible White House run, according to sources.

In late 2008 and early 2009, Arpaio came out in Smile...You're Under Arrest!, a three-episode Fox Reality Channel series in which persons with outstanding warrants were tricked into presenting themselves for arrest.
On June 9, 2011, Arpaio was interviewed on Fox News on KSAZ-TV about a song on iTunes called "F#@K Sheriff Joe" by Contraband, describing him on his deathbed battling his own mortality.
Arpaio's practices include serving inmates surplus food and limiting meals to twice daily. He has also banned inmates from possessing "sexually explicit material" including Playboy magazine after female officers complained that inmates openly masturbated while viewing them or harassed the officers by comparing their anatomy to that of the nude models in the publications. The ban was challenged on First Amendment grounds but upheld by the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
In February 2007, Arpaio instituted an in-house radio station he calls KJOE.[Arpaio's radio station broadcasts classical music, opera, Frank Sinatra hits, patriotic music and educational programming. It operates from the basement of the county jail for five days a week, four hours each day.
In an ongoing case, federal judge Neil V. Wake ruled in 2008 and 2010 that the Maricopa County jails violated the constitutional rights of inmates in medical and other care related issues.Arpaio set up a "Tent City" as an extension of the Maricopa County Jail. In 2001, he was the first sheriff to require all inmates aged 18 and over to register for the Selective Service System. (Registration is required by federal law for all U.S. males between 18 and 26 years of age, as well as for resident aliens of the same age, regardless of their immigration status.) Since 2001, a total of 28,000 inmates (including 9,000 aliens) have registered for Selective Service.

At age 17, while still in high school, Babeu campaigned against a proposed raise for North Adams, Massachusetts, City Council members. The council reduced the pay hike and Babeu, running as an independent, turned his effort into a successful campaign and was elected to City Council at the age of 18.In 1992, Babeu was elected to a four-year term as a Berkshire County, Massachusetts, commissioner.
At the end of this term in 1996, Babeu ran for a seat in the Massachusetts Senate based in Berkshire, Hampden, Hampshire, and Franklin. He won the Republican nomination against Peter Abair. He lost in the general election to Democrat Andrea F. Nuciforo, Jr. 55%-42%.
In 1997, he ran for mayor of North Adams against incumbent Democrat John Barrett III. In the open primary, Babeu ranked first but failed to reach the 50% threshold. He led Barrett by just 145 votes. In the general election, Barrett won re-election and defeated Babeu 53%-47%, a difference of just 353 votes, in an election with an unusually high turnout rate of 75% among registered voters. In 2001, Babeu ran for a rematch against Barrett, but lost again.Babeu joined the Massachusetts National Guard as a 21-year-old. He started his service as a Private/E-2 and rose through the ranks to Major in the Arizona Army National Guard. During his tenure he served a tour in Iraq and spent 17 months deployed in Arizona as a commander with Operation Jump Start (Southwest Border Mission). From 2006 to 2007, Babeu spent 17 months as commander of Task Force Yuma supervising 700 soldiers, where they supported the United States Border Patrol to achieve operational control and reduce illegal immigration. Babeu retired in September 2010 after 20 years of service.
In 2009, Babeu reorganized the Pinal County Sheriff's Office, replacing the entire command leadership. He has since implemented strict employee standards, reduced emergency response times by 40%, and has sought and been awarded nearly $7 million in grants. He also honored a campaign promise to remove speed cameras from the county.
Babeu is President of the Arizona Sheriffs' Association and was named the National Sheriff of the Year in 2011 by the National Sheriffs' Association. Babeu is Arizona's youngest Sheriff and leads the third largest Sheriff's Office in Arizona with 700 full-time employees.
Babeu has been an outspoken critic of the Federal government on the issue of illegal immigration. According to Babeu's website, "Pinal County is the number one pass through county in all of America for drug and human smuggling." He reported, "Pinal County contains an estimated 75-100 drug cartel cells and listening posts/observation posts, used to facilitate the illegal transportation of people and narcotics into the United States." Babeu also helped U.S. Senator John McCain and U.S. Senator Jon Kyl draft their "10-Point Border Security Plan". In late 2010, Babeu was asked by Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio to investigate allegations of wrongdoing in his own department. This 6-month long detailed search led to the termination of Arpaio's top two deputies.


The Sarge is going on record to back Chistie and Babeu for President. These two don't take no shit from the federal government. in fact Christie told White house staff to get bent over his health and demanded federal aid when Obama would not give it. Babeu was the first to stand with Arpaio against Obama's 23 executive orders. Babeu not only served his country but he is backed by the NRA. So Sarge will support these men in the race.

A New York mother has been charged with five counts of endangering the welfare of a child after she allegedly hired two strippers to perform lap dances on the guests at her son’s 16th birthday party.
Judy Viger, 33, hired the women from a company called Tops in Bottoms and arranged for them to perform in a private room at the Spare Time Bowling Center in South Glens Falls on Nov. 3.
At the party, the women performed what police describe as “personal and intimate” dances with the party guests, some of whom were as young as 13.

“The charges stem from an allegation that she endangered not only the welfare of her own child, but the welfare of the 14- and 15-year-old children that were at the birthday party as well,” Saratoga County District Attorney James Murphy told the Glens Falls Post-Star.
The company providing the strippers said that the dancers were unaware that the kids at the party were underage, local CBS affiliate WRGB reported, and that the incident was being “blown out of proportion.”
Police said that Tops in Bottoms cooperated fully with their investigation and does not face any charges.
Viger, who has a March 7 court date, faces up to a year in prison if convicted
