What’s a boy’s 16th birthday party without strippers and lap dances?
A New York mother has been charged with five counts of endangering the welfare of a child after she allegedly hired two strippers to perform lap dances on the guests at her son’s 16th birthday party.
Judy Viger, 33, hired the women from a company called Tops in Bottoms and arranged for them to perform in a private room at the Spare Time Bowling Center in South Glens Falls on Nov. 3.
At the party, the women performed what police describe as “personal and intimate” dances with the party guests, some of whom were as young as 13.

Strippers perform lewd dances on teens at the party. About 80 people attended, including many adults who later said they were outraged by the performances.

Police were alerted to the party activities after raunchy photos of the lap dances were posted online. The mother of a 15-year-old boy who attended the party saw some of the photos on her son’s Facebook page and alerted South Glens Falls authorities.
“The charges stem from an allegation that she endangered not only the welfare of her own child, but the welfare of the 14- and 15-year-old children that were at the birthday party as well,” Saratoga County District Attorney James Murphy told the Glens Falls Post-Star.
The company providing the strippers said that the dancers were unaware that the kids at the party were underage, local CBS affiliate WRGB reported, and that the incident was being “blown out of proportion.”
Police said that Tops in Bottoms cooperated fully with their investigation and does not face any charges.
Viger, who has a March 7 court date, faces up to a year in prison if convicted

MatCathy says we gun owners are guilty of terrorist acts for endangering public safety

Chicago’s chief of police can’t seem to avoid controversy over his statements related to gun control.
On a Sunday talk show, as reported by the Illinois State Rifle Association, police Superintendent Garry F. McCarthy said that firearm owners who lobby their representatives, or who donate money to political campaigns, for pro-Second Amendment issues are guilty of corruption and of endangering public safety.
The embattled police chief — who previously blamed “government-sponsored racism” and Sarah Palin for Chicago’s gun-related violence, and who once said the Second Amendment itself was a threat to the nation’s security, according to a report by Red State — also said judges and lawmakers should focus more on public opinion polls when considering constitutional matters, the ISRA reported.
On Sunday, Superintendent McCarthy also said the Second Amendment does, in fact, allow for governments and police agencies to impose mandatory liability insurance requirements on gun owners, and that GPS tracking devices can be lawfully affixed to firearms sold to civilians, according to the ISRA.
ISRA spokespeople hit back.
“Garry McCarthy’s understanding of our Constitution barely qualifies him as a meter maid, never mind the chief of the nation’s third-largest police department,” said ISRA executive director Richard Pearson. “What on earth would possess McCarthy to assert that constitutional rights should be meted out based on public opinion polls?”
Mr. Pearson reminded, in the Red State report, that if public opinion polls were the deciding factors for constitutional law, women may never have received the right to vote.
“It has been said that our Constitution exists to protect the minority from the tyranny of the majority,” he said in the Red State report. “McCarthy’s view of our Constitution is dangerous and unbecoming of a civil servant.”

Rush Hospital allows pets in rooms

Sometimes the most effective comfort comes from man's best friend.
Rush University Medical Center took that to heart, adopting a formal policy that allows pets to visit certain patients in their rooms, according to the Chicago Tribune. The hospital became the first facility in the area to officially set such rules in December.
Rush began researching requests for animal visitors in 2010, and in the end, officials decided the reward was worth the risk.
The hospital issued a 21-point list of rules outlining animal visits. Dogs and cats are the only pets allowed, for example, and any messes must be cleaned and sanitized by the handler. Before pets are allowed through the door, the doctor and of course patient must consent to the visit.

The Tribune points out that pets must have proof of rabies vaccination and must be groomed and bathed before visiting. They aren't allowed to visit any rooms other than that of the pre-approved patient.
Bernadette Slesinski-Evans and her dachshund Sadie became the first patient to take advantage of the rules.

First Mike Bloomberg messing with Illinois Politics now Mexico is asking for a registry of guns owned by American living in Border States

Why Is Mexico Asking the U.S. Senate for a Registry of U.S. Gun Owners?

Mexican lawmakers will ask the U.S. Senate to create a registry of all commercialized firearms in border states, which includes California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. Mexico says it will make it easier to trace guns used in violent attacks.
The measure was reportedly approved on January 9 by Mexico’s Permanent Commission, a government entity that meets when Mexico’s Senate and the Chamber of Deputies is in recess. Gun owners in Arizona are calling the proposal “foolish” and an “invasion of privacy.”
Watch KPHO-TV’s report below:
A number of the gun owners interviewed by KPHO-TV also referenced the Obama administration’s disastrous gun-running operation known as “Fast and Furious.”
The operation, conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), allowed illegal straw buyers to walk across the border with nearly 2,000 firearms, including semi-automatic rifles. The weapons ultimately ended up in the hands of Mexican drug cartel members and were used in a number of crimes, including murders and kidnappings.
Further, a gun from Fast and Furious was found at the murder scene of U.S. Border Agent Brian Terry in December of 2010.
Democrats in Congress have been calling for a ban on semi-automatic rifles and universal background checks for all firearms sales, some even calling for a national gun registry. Further, Democrats in Missouri and California have proposed bills that would result in the possible confiscation of semi-automatic rifles.
TheBlaze has reached out to several members of the U.S. Senate and will update this story as new information becomes available.
