Dart and Bilecki blame Sheahan

Tuesday, August 7, 2012              The Cook County Sheriff's Office released this statement regarding the trial:

"This specific case started over six years ago during a previous administration. Not one of the individuals suing the county was fired and some were promoted. It is beyond perplexing that these individuals are suing for more money when they already have had every opportunity for promotion. Sheriff Dart and his office proudly stand on their record."

"The Cook County Sheriff's Office is very proud of the fact that it is the only local government office that has been declared in compliance by the federal courts and therefore is no longer monitored by the courts or their appointed monitors. The office worked hard during the monitoring process and is proud of its ethical integrity. It cannot be stressed enough that this was a federal court decision to free the sheriff's office of the monitor, based on the hard work and policies implemented by the dart administration.

Never Run Over A Police Officer’s Foot

Here’s a piece of advice.
If a cop is standing by your car giving you a parking ticket, do not, we repeat DO NOT, run over the police officer’s foot with your vehicle.
In the video above posted late last week, a certain Mr. Douche of New York City, driving a very expensive red Ferrari, thought his fast car could out race parking ticket being written by an officer of the NYPD.
After gunning the engine, the car lurches forward and allegedly runs over the officer’s foot.
Of course, hilarity ensues.
It turns out Mr. Douche is, according to Reuter’s News Service, some goof dating some vapid reality TV “star” we’ve never heard of and is now alleging the cop faked the incident according to TMZ.
Unfortunately, Mr. Douche is being charged with felony assault, vehicular assault, obstructing governmental administration, disorderly conduct and for wearing a horrible looking purple sweater.
Here’s some more advice.
Never try to walk away from a police officer issuing a ticket. Be respectful, take the ticket and contest it if you feel it was issued unfairly.
Our final piece of advice is to never spend $250,000 on a car. That’s just stupid.

Emanuel All Talk, No Action On Parking Meter Deal

somethingstinks600
He’s full of crap.
That is essentially the conclusion the Chicago Reader’s Mick Dumke comes to about Rahm Emanuel’s position on the parking meter lease deal in a recent piece.
As you probably know, Emanuel has recently been very outspoken about the nearly $50 million in bills Chicago Parking Meters, LLC has sent the city for over use of disabled parking and for meter closures for the past two years.
He’s very publicly and brashly denounced the bills and says he won’t pay them. Unfortunately for the Mayor, there’s this teeny tiny obstacle to his stance. It’s called a contract.
You remember. That several hundred page document the city paid a big time law firm nearly $700,000 to draft and/or review before former Mayor Daley signed it thus giving away right the parking meters for 75 years. If you go by the contract, CPM has every right to claim the compensation it asks for.
But as Dumke points out, while Emanuel has been publicly against the lease deal, city attorneys have been defending the meter lease deal in court.
Huh?!?
You see, back in 2009, the Independent Voters of Illinois-Independent Precinct Organization filed a lawsuit claiming the meter deal was illegal and the contract should be torn up.

Veteran ICE Agent loses job for enforcing imigration laws

An 18 year veteran Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent is facing suspension for refusing to release a person he knew to be an illegal alien. The ICE agent and his partner were conducting surveillance on the vehicle of a known criminal alien. A subject got into the car but upon his arrest and detention turned out to not be the target of the investigation but still illegally within the United States.

The veteran agent decided to go forward with the detention of the subject even though the subject did not meet the criteria for deportation set by the Obama administration. Two supervisors ordered the veteran agent to let the subject go and a disagreement ensued that eventually led to a letter of proposed suspension for the agent over the incident.

President Obama and his administration have dramatically altered policy regarding the apprehension and deportation of aliens illegally within the United States. Those who have been here without committing another criminal infraction are virtually ignored while those who meet the criteria as a “dreamer,” those aliens who arrived here as children and attended school here, have been officially recognized by the Obama administration and allowed to reside here.

These new guidelines and ICE’s implementation of the weakened laws requiring the release of aliens illegally within the United States impact all of us whether you live in Spokane, Washington or Miami Florida. Only a few years ago, Trooper James Saunders of the Washington State Patrol was murdered by an illegal alien in Eastern Washington after that alien was missed by immigration officers.

Most veteran officers are passionate about the enforcement of the law. Changes to policies to immigration laws for political reasons can lead to confrontations such as in this case. Since its creation, ICE has had internal feuding due to Customs and Immigration Special Agents being combined into one agency and working jointly. In February of this year an ICE Special Agent shot and killed his supervisor at the ICE offices in Long Beach, California. Before the creation of ICE after 9/11, the murderer was assigned with the Immigration and Naturalization Service while the victim had been assigned to Customs.

Chicago Police Lt's List Is Out - Congratulations to everybody on the list

Cook County Sheriff Jail Gaurd punches an inmate

Deputy commits battery to an inmate now the question is this is the deputy on duty or off duty. If he is on duty why isn't he in uniform. If you look his shirt is untucked and not buttoned. If this was my officer he would have been sent home with a write up. The second thing is what gives this deputy the right to strike some one. If the Chicago police have to be politically correct then so should the Sheriff's office. In fact he is a over glorified security gaurd he is not even the police or a Sheriff's police he is what the state of Illinois and the police and fire board calls a bonded peace officer so he is not even a cop. again glorified security gaurd. The diffrence between them and private securtiy is nothing under Illinois state law if your job pays you to go to court then you can carry your firearm in as long as you have your credentials however the sherrif's deputies at various locations will give a private security officer a hard time. However under Illinois state law the private security officer has the same rights to carry as the sheriff's prision gaurds. The Sheriff him self has nothing to say about this incident. If this was my officer he would be arrested and charges filed. This just proves that all sheriff's deputy's are arrigant and think their shit don't stink. I was assaulted by an off duty deputy and I did was holding an intelegant conversation with a girl who I did not know was his wife and he grabbed me by the throat and a family member beat his ass. Later I asked if I should put a beef on him I was told by other police officer's he is mad cause he is a prison gaurd who can not hold an intelgent conversation with his women and felt threten by a CHA security officer who was 18. Not all deputy's are like them but these deputy's like the one shown in this video

A 6-foot-5, 325-pound Cook County correctional officer allegedly punched an inmate in the face and then told the inmate that if he didn’t tell others he swung first, the officer would tell superiors that the man tried to escape.
